Halloween in the Hills EVENT
2020 *CANCELLED*
BUT...ENTER THE VIRTUAL COSTUME CONTEST
As everyone knows, this year has been a scary one! We have been hoping that things would be getting back to normal sooner than later, but so far it is not looking good. The safety of our community is our number one priority. It was a difficult decision, but we decided for 2020 NOT to have Halloween in the Hills. We are working on a virtual Costume Contest idea, but after much deliberation we will NOT be having a large event on the avenue.
THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR PAST YEARS PARTICIPATION and we hope to have Halloween in the Hills in 2021.

Come one, come all! This Halloween hit the streets of Fountain Hills, for a Halloween carnival like no other. For those of you who don’t know, the community of Fountain Hills puts together the most “SPOOK-TACULAR” Halloween event in the entire valley! With over 10 years running, Halloween in the Hills offers fun and safety for the entire family...including your pets!
Thursday, October 31st 2019, from 4pm-8pm, The Town of Fountain Hills will shut down the entire Avenue of the Fountains. Over 40 local businesses and charities will be providing family game booths along the avenue. Plus business stay open for trick or treating! Booths are carnival style, and kids can win candy and toys. Local business owners get creative with the games, so you never know what you might win! Games are not only FUN but FREE to play! Plus, The Town of Fountain Hills rents the coolest bounce houses for the younger kids to “jump around”!
Outside of carnival games, what Halloween event would be complete without costume contests? Sponsored by Sami Fine Jewelry and Steadfast Construction, Halloween in the Hills offers two great contests. The first contest is “Pets and Their People”. This contest is fun to watch. Every kind of animal you can imagine can be entered in the contest. From dogs, pigs, bunnies, and birds, this event is very entertaining! This year, the contest starts at 5:45pm (Registration starts at 5:15pm). Participation is completely FREE and prizes are sponsored by local businesses.
The other contest is “Best Kids Costume”. At 6:30pm (Registration starts at 6pm) kids will strut their stuff across the stage, showing off their favorite Halloween Costumes. This contest is for youth under 18 years of age. From Minecraft characters to Disney princesses, you will see it all. Participation is FREE and prizes are sponsored by local businesses. If you are interested in participating or watching either of these Costume contests, they will be happening on the center of the Avenue (near Chase bank) on the main stage.
As well as the costume contests, other exciting things will also be happening in the stage area. From martial arts demos, to a Zombie Thriller Dance, games, and Halloween music, the center of the Avenue will be “jamming” Halloween style! Plus, there will also be a Fountain Hills Fire truck candy drop!
Don’t just plan on eating candy, make sure you come hungry! Eat at the carnival and support your community. Sofrita’s, The All American Grill, and The Fountain Hills Noon Kiwanis will be offering delicious food and drink for purchase. Circle R Farm, Waffle Luv and Cactus Corn are also a fun addition to food and desert that is available for purchase.
